Archoteca - exhibitional, research center and architectural archive founded in 1996 for information support of Nizhny Novgorod architectural school

Archoteca is an archive of contemporary architecture of Nizhny Novgorod, collected by the National Centre for Contemporary Arts since 1996. The archive contain the information on constructions since 1986 – the period of reorganization, returning to the Gorky city its historical name Nizhny Novgorod, time of the building boom and formation of the Nizhny Novgorod architectural school which became the most known phenomenon of the Russian architecture of post Soviet time.
For ten years of existence of the archive we published three books that became a basis for the structure and the maintenance of this web site.
